In one of the most horrific acts of cross-fandom pollination known to man, Leonard Nimoy sings about Bilbo Baggins and commits it to film.
The rest of the garbage…
– Gnarls Barkley’s MTV Movie Awards performance.
– One fan’s tribute the Wilhelm Scream.
– James Luceno talks about Dark Lord.
– Mashup: Sith City.
– Harry Potter battles the monster Pubertus.
– Classic Clip: Jedi Hunter. Crikey!
Oh. I love it when the Bilbo Baggins song starts making the rounds again. It seems to come out of the woodwork every couple of years. It’s just a classic, I tell you!
And the Wilhelm Scream clip? TOO cute!
Oh Brother! I see that Club Jade hasn’t grown a sense of humor in my absence.
This is why I quit the list a few years ago. I wasn’t barred. I left.
Gnarls Barkley–“Garbage?” Now why would you say that? I (and thousands of others) thought that his MTV performance was rather campy, cute and clever. If you know anything about Gnarls, you’d know that when performing he always dresses up as his favorite characters from TV or movies. He was
honoring Star Wars in this.
Only Club Jade “fanpeople” would call it “garbage.”
Sheesh, Dunc–
It’s called irony.
And isn’t there a line in, oh, I don’t know, a Star Wars movie somewhere about floating away, with “the rest of the garbage?” So possibly it’s be referential?
Maybe she outsnarked you. I doubt it, but maybe…
