Very, very honest?

Ursula K. LeGuin isn’t so fond of the director of Sci-Fi’s Earthsea miniseries claiming they’ve been faithful to the intentions of her novels.

The mini is being roundly bashed by fans as well, with a fervor I haven’t seen since TNT butchered adapted Mists of Avalon.

ETA: A second, longer commentary from LeGuin.

  1. Having never read the books, I can’t speak to how well adapted they are. But the mini-series suffered from a lack of good actors in supporting roles.

Guess they spent all their money on the stars and just pulled the rest off the street?
