→ Spoilerphobes beware: Jason at Making Star Wars has had some further input into how we’ll see Luke Skywalker in and before Episode VII. Of course, per usual, the only thing we actually know? #Beardwatch. (Okay, I just miss it.)
→ There a lot of hints that we may see a teaser of some sort before the end of the year. Of course, we already heard the rumors that John Williams is scoring one, and this certainly could all be feeding from that. People are also somewhat leaning it being attached to November 21st’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, despite that not being a Disney film. (Big Hero 6 too early; Into the Woods too late?) Of course, as we know from the Avengers, you don’t really need a movie to debut a trailer these days… And it sure would be nice to see something before we’re all sucked too deeply into the holiday season.
→ Those looking for an additional dose of hope might want to check with HitFix’s Drew McWeeny. He’s covering the Anthony Daniels tweet heard round the internets, but:
I’ve been covering movies online since the days when the “Star Wars: Special Editions” were only a rumor. During the production of “The Phantom Menace,” I had a lot of contact with people working on and around the film, and if I had to characterize the attitude that most of them had, it was “I don’t know what we’re making.” There were plenty of people who seemed nervous about various elements or characters or ideas in what they were making. This time around, every single thing I’ve heard has been, “Holy cow, I think we’re doing this right,” and this Tweet from Daniels is just the most public example of that.
Good vibes? Good vibes.
