“War of the Worlds” looks really good, and I’m heartened (hopefully not falsely so) by the use of text from the original being used as the teaser voiceover.
“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” though… hmmm… I had no clue it was possible to make Johnny Depp look unattractive. And it does look like this movie is likely to freak out just as many children as the older movie did (c’mon, I can’t be the only person who had nightmares involving centipedes and chickens being beheaded).
I watched the “Charlie” trailer last night at work without sound and man… Depp is creepy. I was never all that freaked out by Gene Wilder, though, so…
I like that the chocolate river looks like actual chocolate this time, though.
