Pre Vizsla and the Mandalorians of Death Watch encounter some new potential allies when they come across Darth Maul and Savage Opress in ‘Eminence’, this week’s episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. While they have a common enemy in Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Sith and Death Watch first team up to take on some crime lords on Nal Hutta, in order to start building up Maul’s criminal empire so he can challenge the Jedi for his vengeance. In the clip above, Vizsla and Bo-Katan encounter the injured Sith brothers, and decide to keep them alive. In the second clip, below, Maul wakes up and has to answer some questions. On Saturday, watch for the appearance of a Falleen and listen for the Huttese!
As a special treat, cast and crew of The Clone Wars will be at a special USO preview screening of ‘Eminence’ for the Marines and their families at Miramar Marine Corps Air Station in San Diego on Friday night. On hand for the double feature will be director Dave Filoni, and voice actors Dee Bradley Baker, Ashley Eckstein, Matt Lanter, Catherine Taber, and James Arnold Taylor. They’ll first have kid-friendly screening of ‘The Gathering’ (the first episode in the Young Jedi arc) in the late afternoon, followed by Q&A and autographs, and then a showing of ‘Eminence’ followed by another round of Q&A and autographs in the evening.
Going back to last week’s ‘Point of No Return’, Dave Filoni has a video commentary ‘The Big Bang’ up with voice actor Stephen Stanton (who voices both Gascon and Tarkin), and how the new Star Tours attraction got used by the show, and of course, the marvelousness of that explosion at the end. Following up in other media, The Clone Wars Facebook page has a memo from Tarkin to Palpatine over the poor performance of the Jedi as generals after the events of ‘Point of No Return’
