The second Rogue One trailer gives us a glimpse at several of the characters in action, X-wings, some thrilling vistas (Jedha?) and even an old friend.

Wear Star Wars Every Day: Weeks 28, 29, & 30
It’s been a busy few weeks for me, but rest assured, #WearStarWarsEveryDay is still going strong! Now that I’ve gotten to recover a bit from the marathon of Celebration Europe and San Diego Comic-Con, I’ve made the recap video for the past three weeks. We’ve got a ton of t-shirts, a random polo shirt, a Jar Jar baseball jersey and First Order soccer jersey, and even a dress in this batch of wear for charity. Yup, I show some leg. Big thanks to Brian, Sam, and Walt for donating shirts (all at Celebration Europe). And thanks to everyone who has lent me apparel that I’ve worn in these three weeks: James, Paul, Christine, Anastasia, Daniel, Michael, Mark, Danielle, and Mediocre Jedi! Remember, every day i keep the streak of wearing a different Star Wars apparel item going, that’s another $4.65 pledged from my donors!
We’ve got a bunch of different wear, including some custom designs, as well as a slew from Celebration Europe, and some for The Old Republic, 501st Legion, mashups, and more. This review for Weeks 28 through 30 covers July 8 to July 28 of my wearathon, and an update on fundraising for Collateral Repair Project, a non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance, education, and community support to urban refugees. While we have three weeks of cool wear, we don’t have a lot of fundraising news to report – just a single automatic monthly donation, so maybe now’s the time to pitch in and help us reach our fundraising goal!

The latest Star Wars Show recaps Celebration, gives us details about Space Monkey, and interviews Han Solo 2.0, Alden Ehrenreich.

SWCE: Alden Ehrenreich confirmed as young Han Solo
No Episode VIII title* out of the Future Filmmakers panel at Celebration Europe, but they did confirm Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo and bring him out on stage. He was the first person to audition (out of 3000 people!) and won the role over 6 months. Directs Christopher Miller and Phil Lord have only just moved to London for pre-production, and they expect to start shooting in early 2017.
* Because there is no title yet.
Earlier, Kathleen Kennedy said Episode VIII director Rian Johnson “moves the camera as well as Steven Spielberg.” We learned that Johnson spent about six weeks with Lucasfilm before even starting in on the script.
The panel winded down with surprise appearances from John Boyega, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. (Plus Gary and Millie.) It looked fun, but there was nothing really earth-shattering revealed. Check out the StarWars.com liveblog for details.

Video: The Star Wars Show Live from Celebration London
Day 2 on the livestream from London. The big panels today are Carrie Fisher, Lucasfilm, Ray Park and the Closing Ceremony.
SWCE: Star Wars Rebels S3 to introduce Grand Admiral Thrawn; Timothy Zahn writing canon novel!
Grand Admiral Thrawn was revealed as a villain in Star Wars Rebels S3, and that’s not even the whole of it. Timothy Zahn – who gave his blessing to the Rebels version via video – is writing a canon Thrawn novel that’ll be out in April 2017.
The Rebels Thrawn is being voiced by Lars Mikkelsen, Mads Mikkelsen’s brother.
Thrawn, who originated in Zahn’s Heir to the Empire in 1991, is the first Legends character to make the jump to the new canon.
When asked if Mara Jade could be next, Filoni was fairly straightforward: “No, not likely.” (I am, for the record, more than okay with that.) Filoni also said that the ysalamiri aren’t making the leap to canon, although there are some visual nods to them in the production design of Thrawn’s introduction.
On his Facebook, Zahn said he’s just turned in the first draft of the novel.
The trailer also featured Wedge Antilles and a Force sensitive character named Bendu, who’s being voiced by Fourth Doctor Tom Baker. For more on everything else about Rebels S3, head to StarWars.com.

Filoni and Lucasfilm’s Kiri Hart talk about how the show makes Thrawn work on Sunday, comparing him to Vader as a villain: “We want to treat him like a big time villain, as much as Darth Vader,” Filoni said. “But on the strategic, military side of things.”

Rebels S3 preview debuts new look for Ezra
Rebels head honcho Dave Filoni invaded stopped by the latest Star Wars Show with the first clip from the show’s third season.
The episode also features an interview with Rogue One director Gareth Edwards and a lot of talk about the upcoming Star Wars Show from London. (We promptly got a full live-stream schedule for the weekend.)

But in better news, with three donations this past week, we have now raised more than $2,000 total for Collateral Repair Project, about $1,600 via the GoFundMe and the rest via check, cash, and employee match. Also, I met Greg Grunberg at a book signing and he approved of the campaign so much that he signed by shirt on the spot! Two shirts this week are mine, and thanks to Paul, Mike, Darren, and Margaret for lending me the rest! Wear Star Wars Every Day hits the six-month mark! Week 26
Can you believe that I’ve now completed six whole months of #WearStarWarsEveryDay? That’s a different Star Wars apparel item worn every day for the past twenty-six weeks – 182 days of shirts, hats, costumes, outerwear, even a skirt and a pair of sweatpants. And there’s still more coming!
To mark the six month point, I decided to wear a week of just Her Universe clothing, as a way to highlight the different programs of Collateral Repair Project that help empower women, including their Hope Workshop and their programs funded by Dining For Women. And so we go a whole seven days, turning from the light side with Yoda and Ahsoka, and slipping to the dark side with Mara Jade and the Empire! One shirt is mine, and the High Commander Cardigan borrowed from Mrs. Jawa, and the rest are loaned by Margaret Mays (4 items) and Dunc!
