Four brand-new comics are out on Wednesday, October 30. Marvel’s entry in the Journey to the Rise of Skywalker wraps up in Allegiance #4 (preview), while IDW’s begins in Star Wars Adventures #27 (preview). Also wrapping up is Return to Vader’s Castle #5 (preview), and there’s a standalone tale in Doctor Aphra Annual #3 (preview).
Three comics and a trade are out this Wednesday, October 23. Journey to the Rise of Skywalker: Allegiance #3, Star Wars #73, Return to Vader’s Castle #4, plus the trade collection of the Galaxy’s Edge miniseries are coming to the shops.
Two new comics and a reprint trade are out this Wednesday, October 16. Allegiance #2 introduces us to Ackbar’s son as the Resistance heads to Mon Calamari (preview), while Return to Vader’s Castle #2 focuses on Asajj Ventress (preview). And the TIE Fighter miniseries, which connects to the Alphabet Squadron novel that came out a few months ago, is now in trade.

Things go back to normal this Wednesday, October 9 with only new comics.
The Journey to The Rise of Skywalker publishing program heads to comics with Allegiance #1. (Preview!) We also have Return to Vader’s Castle #2 (which you can preview on StarWars.com), Jedi Fallen Order: Dark Temple #3 and Target: Vader #4.

Halloween week brings one new book, one paperback reprint, and two comics. Out on Tuesday, October 30 is Women of the Galaxy by Amy Ratcliffe and many, many artists. (You can preview some of the art here, here and here.) It’s also a chance for fans to pick up the paperback of Daniel José Older’s Last Shot, the Han and Lando novel that first came out ahead of Solo in the spring.
Coming on the comic front Wednesday, October 31 are Tales from Darth Vader’s Castle #5 and Star Wars Adventures #15.
This week brings one new book, two comics, and a hardcover collection. Out on Tuesday, October 23 is Pablo Hidalgo’s Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy’s Most Notorious. The hardcover covers three different eras (Old Republic, Empire, and the New Republic) through the notes of a family of police officers.
The comics coming on Wednesday, October 42, include Tales from Vader’s Castle #4, Doctor Aphra #25 and the hardcover edition of Darth Vader (2017) Volume 1.

Wednesday, October 17 brings two comics and a Legends trade collection of some interest. The spooks continue with IDW’s Tales from Vader’s Castle #3, while Marvel has Darth Vader #22. And we’ve got a pretty noteworthy edition of the Legends epic collection – The New Republic volume 4 contains the complete comic adaptations of The Thrawn Trilogy: Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising and The Last Command.
Two brand-new comics are out on Wednesday, October 10. The scares continue with Tales from Darth Vader’s Castle #2, which has two covers. We also see Marvel’s Solo #1, the first of seven issues adapting the film.

The extended gap between movies sees Star Wars publishing reaching back to the prequel era for their most high profile SDCC announcements. Coming from Del Rey we have Master and Apprentice, a Qui-gon and Obi-wan novel from Claudia Gray (Bloodline, Princess of Alderaan). And from Disney-Lucasfilm press there’s the long-rumored Padme novel, Queen’s Shadow by E.K. Johnston (Ahsoka).
The Padme cover is by Tara Phillips, who editor Jen Heddle says she “found on Deviant Art.” Both books will be out in early 2019 and up for pre-order soon: Master and Apprentice in February, and Queen’s Shadow in March.
