Insider #96: Insight for the casual fan

So I picked up the new Insider today, and was going to write a short recap of the contents, but thankfully StarWars.com already excerpted the most interesting part – an interview with Rick McCallum where he talks about the live-action TV show. There’s also a nice (lengthy!) article on the 501st.

Sadly, not much else new – an interview with a couple of the Imperial actors and a look at Death Star pretty much rounds it out, as well as a bunch of stuff any remotely well-read or web-saavy fan already knows. In other words, pretty much par for the course.

There is a teaser for the next issue, which will be Luke and Leia-centric, featuring interviews with Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

Catching up with Labor Day weekend

George Lucas is becoming ‘increasingly involved’ with the Clone Wars animated series. Good? Bad? Gungan? Only time will tell! In other CW news, Disney really wants the broadcast rights.

Denning interview in new Insider

Word on the street is that Star Wars Insider #95 is starting to show up in subscriber mailboxes, and that it contains an interview with LOTF author Troy Denning and lots of hints about what happens in Inferno, in addition to a few pages on Clone Wars, and a Q&A with Leland Chee.

There’s a fan summary of the interview a couple posts down on this thread at the NJOE boards.

UPDATE: What’s inside Star Wars Insider #95 at StarWars.com.

We must be cautious

Looks like there’s a scam going around using the Star Wars Insider name. Looks like a fish, smells like a fish… Don’t fall for it.

Update: Valid? Seriously? CDS Fulfillment needs to work on their phrasing.
