Star Wars: The Empire Brokeback. Pssh. Threepio/Artoo is so 2005.
Can’t get enough Tag and Bink
Well, looks like Dark Horse is getting more cash from me than I thought – among the Spring 2006 releases is Tag & Bink Episode I – Revenge of the Clone Menace.
Pablo Strikes Again!
The parody you’ve been waiting for
Star Wars in 30 seconds, re-enacted by bunnies. With outakes!
Tag and Bink!
Official site has added a bunch of stuff from Clone Wars Volume 2 (Which came out on DVD Tuesday) to the Databank.
Also, March 2006 comics. Tag and Bink return!
Kids love hobbits, right?
Changes in George Lucas’s Lord of the Rings: Special Edition. Rather predictable, but good for a giggle or two. (via The Movie Blog, which also gives George props.)
Angst. Woe. Depression. Sentence fragments.
Fallen behind on your fanfic reading? Fear not! You can read every fanfic ever written in just minutes. No need to start reading that unfinished epic-length angstfics ever again!
Feel the Farce
First up, Mistful’s quick recap of Revenge of the Sith:
ANAKIN: I think you’re so beautiful because I love you.
PADME: No, you think I’m so beautiful because I’m Natalie Portman, and finer than a July day. Ass.
Next, Star Wars for Dummies by lennongirl… All six episodes: TPM, AOTC, ROTS, ANH, ESB, ROTJ.
But no parody post is complete without a musical link: The United States of NOOOOOO!!
Opening Day* Fun Stuff
NPR has been doing a series on Star Wars and George Lucas all week. (Via Carbongeek.)
Literary fantasy and sci-fi talk show the Dragon Page has a cover-to-cover podcast with Matthew Stover. (Via Sci-Fi Ranter Girl.)
Droids, droids, everywhere: R2 builders on the cover of Make magazine; Italian bot that recognizes, runs away from lightsabers and humans with lightsabers.
Hilarious Star Wars photoshop contest.
For more hilarity, SF Signal reproduces the Top 10 Star Wars Spoofs list from an old edition of SFX magazine. Mmm… parody.
* Technically may have nothing to do with opening day.
Dance fanboy, dance!
Another version of the infamous Episode III pic parade, only this time it’s funny. Someone needs to point out to the writer that the Empire does not technically exist at the beginning of the film.
But I’ll forgive him. Because of the funny.
In addition to this, we have another parody that I failed to post on a timely basis: Star Wars: A Lost Hope. Some toilet humor; a lot of Anakin whining. But hey, I’m easily amused.
