Yeah, those horrible prequel bashers at RiffTrax must be stopped before they dare mock Episode 3. George Lucas is a human being!
(They’ve also vilely slandered 300, Eragon, Fantastic Four, Star Trek: Generations, ID4, and the first two eps of Heroes since last we checked.)

Appearing on the Dark Horse site today, several November comics: Legacy #18, Dark Times #9, Knights of the Old Republic #23 and a KOTOR handbook.
Also: Another Boba Fett hardcover (how many of these things are there?), the first Dark Times collection and a ROTS photo comic I’ve given up trying to understand the whole Boba Fett phenomenon, but can someone explain to me the appeal of photo comics? Is it more than the thrill of seeing the same old photo stills and dialogue?
ETA: TFN has the actual solicitations, which include… A hardcover of Union? So they’re not pretending that whole era of the EU doesn’t exist? Shocking!
Every Siskel & Ebert Show is now online. It’s like my childhood in video form! (Random Thought: Can I attribute my +5 Fanboy Resistance to having grown up watching two men occasionally fight tooth and nail over movies?)
A search for Star Wars brings up five reviews – the Special Editions, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith. (I’m not sure where The Phantom Menace is, but it may be it never appeared on the show, given Siskel’s death in February 1999.)
And while Ebert is made of win, I really do miss Siskel. While Roeper was the most palatable of the replacements they tried after his death (a lineup which included Harry Knowles) it’s just not the same.
Mike of the blog Mmmm has, for the past month or so, posting about Star Wars and reviewing the saga. Going chronologically, he rolls through The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Clone Wars, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, the Holiday Special, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
I’ll give the guy credit – he takes a mostly even-handed approach to the saga (even the Holiday Special – we all know it’s exactly that wretched, though he pans the Ewoks more than I think is necessary.) But, overall – a good read.
Bryan Young continues his defense of the prequel trilogy, in the wake of some ever-so-charming embittered fanboys. (Shouldn’t they have moved on to Transformers by now?)
Bryan Young defends the prequel trilogy at perhaps one of the last places one would expect such a thing – The Huffington Post. If he was at CIV, I think I may have asked him (or his son) a trivia question or two…
Also, among the things we missed due to C4, Empire’s special Star Wars section, including a marathon interview with George Lucas, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. Whoops.

Lots of reprints! On Tuesday, look for the paperback of Aaron Allston’s Betrayal, the first book of the Legacy of the Force series, and Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy, a trade paperback reprinting all three prequel novelizations.
Wednesday brings the 30th Anniversary Darth Maul collection and the first trade collection of Legacy, Broken. Those yearning for new tales can turn to Knights of the Old Republic #16 and Buffy #3.
