This week brings one comic on Wednesday, Darth Vader #20, the beginning of a new arc.
Star Wars out this week: Bloodline, Poe Dameron #2
Lots for The Force Awakens fans this week, as Bloodline by Claudia Gray drops Tuesday. The Leia-centric novel has been among the most anticipated since it was announced. (Look for my review tomorrow.) Out on Wednesday is Poe Dameron #2.
Out this week: Star Wars #18
This Wednesday will bring Star Wars #18 to the comic shops.
Looking at what’s already on the shelves, our own James interviewed author Pablo Hidalgo about the updated Star Wars Character Encyclopedia on StarWars.com.
Next week’s big release is Claudia Gray’s Bloodline, a Leia-centric novel that answers a question or two raised by The Force Awakens. (You can get a look at the first three chapters by subscribing to a newsletter from Playcrafting.) Look for my review on the release date, May 3.
Bloodline may be locked, but there have been minor shifts in the release dates of our next significant ROTJ-TFA bridge novels. Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath: Life Debt moves up a week to July 12, while the third book in the trilogy, Empire’s End, goes back a week to January 24. Our release schedule has been updated.
Star Wars out this week: Obi-Wan & Anakin #4
You can pick up Obi-Wan & Anakin #4 and the Vader Down trade collection at your comic dealer of choice come Wednesday.
Meanwhile, we’re only a two weeks out from the release of our next Star Wars novel, Claudia Gray’s Bloodline, on May 3.
Star Wars out this week: The long lost tale of C-3PO’s red arm
You’ll never believe what’s on the comic shipping list for Wednesday… It’s the much-delayed C-3PO special, which tells the story behind his red arm in The Force Awakens. Less surprisingly, Darth Vader #19.
Also now available is the free eBook sampler from Del Rey, which contains an excerpt of Claudia Gray’s May 3 novel Bloodline and several short stories.
Star Wars out this week: The Force Awakens on Blu-ray, Poe Dameron #1 and more
There’s a lot this week, first and foremost The Force Awakens on Blu-ray Tuesday. There’s also a number of book for young readers, namely Pablo Hidalgo’s Star Wars Character Encyclopedia, Landry Q. Walker’s Tales From A Galaxy Far, Far Away: Aliens and Elizabeth Schaefer’s The Force Awakens Storybook.
Comic fans will have reasons to shop as well, as Marvel drops Poe Dameron #1 on Wednesday.
Star Wars out this week: Aftermath PB, Darth Vader #18
Out in paperback on Tuesday is Aftermath by Chuck Wendig, the first of the new canon novels to take place after Return of the Jedi. I gave it a B+ back when it first came out, and the sequel is out in July.
On Wednesday, comic fans will be able to get their hands on Darth Vader #18.
And Friday, of course, brings The Force Awakens in digital, with the Blu-Ray due out next Tuesday.
Out this week: Star Wars #17, Obi-Wan and Anakin #3
Head to the comic shop on Wednesday for Star Wars #17, Obi-Wan and Anakin #3, and volume 2 of Legends Epic Collection: The New Republic, which appears to be all X-wing material.
Also, missed last week, Star Wars Insider #164 is in stores now.
Star Wars out this week: Kanan #12
The Rebels tie-in comic concludes with Kanan #12, in stores on Wednesday.
Out this week: Dark Disciple in paperback
Today brings the paperback of Christie Golden’s Dark Disciple, the only novel (so far) based on unproduced scripts from The Clone Wars. And on Wednesday, there’s Darth Vader #17 at the comic shops.
