Finally, we have a release date: Rebels will premiere with a one-hour movie, Spark of Rebellion, Friday October 3rd on the Disney Channel at 9:00 p.m. The series itself will begin Monday, October 13 on Disney XD, also at 9, with the Spark of Rebellion DVD in stores on the 14th.
Star Wars Rebels: Spark of Rebellion will also be available to “verified users” on WATCHDisneyXD.com, the WATCH Disney XD app, and On Demand early on September 29.
More than just the snippet we got last week from USA Today, the full Rebels short, “Art Attack,” featuring Sabine Wren gets three minutes of causing trouble for the Empire, doing it artistically.
USA Today has a new short from Star Wars Rebels, with the Mandalorian Sabine Wren tagging some Imperial property.
Is the U.K. getting Rebels in August? A commercial there apparently says October, but this isn’t the first time I’ve heard about the show airing in August. (Recently! In the states!) Honestly, at this point it feels like the only thing we don’t know about Rebels is when it’ll actually air.
“The Machine in the Ghost” is the first of four shorts will air on Disney XD after Gravity Falls, but it’s already live.

First premiering on Disney XD on Monday night, the clip of the first seven minutes of Star Wars Rebels is now online for all to enjoy! (Well, most to enjoy: Apparently it’s region-locked to U.K. viewers.)

I was lucky enough to see the preview screening of Star Wars Rebels in San Diego, and to sum it up: Rebels is awesome. We were asked not to spoil the premiere episode, so I’ll give my general impression and touch on a few things we already know to be in the show.
