Third Pirates title confirmed
No big surprise here: It’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, according to screenwriter Terry Rossio.
Box Office Watch
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest is gaining in on Spider-Man for the sixth spot on the all-time domestic box office list. The Phantom Menace, which holds #5 by more than 27 million dollars, is probably safe, as is Star Wars at #2. The worldwide list is looking a lot less stable for TPM, however.

Paul Ens reports that at least one of Revenge of the Sith’s box office records has survived Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest. It still has the best five-day opening, and looks be be safe in a few other categories.
