Congratulations go out to George Takei and his long-time partner Brad Altman who got married in California on Sunday.
A long-time staple of the sci-fi community, George has been a civil rights activist for many years.
Former Trek castmates Walter Koenig and Nichelle Nichols served as their witnesses.
Geez. How many people are going to be in this movie?
Apparently, Captain Pike is going to be in the upcoming Star Trek movie with Josh Lucas being rumored as in the running. (Insert comment about his great abs here.)
In other Trek Talk, Nichelle Nichols is an object of awe on the Heroes set. (I can totally understand that.)
And let’s all give out a yell for KHAAAAAN at the 2007 Scream Awards in which they celebrated the 25th anniversary of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Don’t expect to see Jonathan Frakes back in a uniform ever again. He’s not impressed with how things progressed with the franchise.
For that matter, don’t expect to see William Shatner, either. Get a life, people!

She might not beat the sheer kitschy genre awesomeness of Nichelle Nichols, but Veronica Mars fans may be happy to hear that Kristen Bell will be joining Heroes for a “key multiepisode arc” next season.
Heroes fans were fairly universal in their love of George Takei‘s performance during the first season as Hiro‘s father.
Now comes word that, in addition to Dominic Keating, Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) will be yet another Star Trek alum joining the cast of Heroes in Season 2.
