Jim Marquand, son of Return of the Jedi director Richard Marquand, was asked by George to direct some episodes of the live-action TV show, says the Liverpool Daily Post. (via)
MMO rumors: The plot thickens
Although previous Star Wars MMO rumors involved KOTOR and Bioware, there are now stirrings of a MMO connected with the live-action TV show. What’s going on? Who knows? Maybe there’s two of them! (via)
Who do you want to see on the TV show?
Now that Rick has confirmed the presence of Boba Fett, IGN lists ten established characters they’d like to see on the live-action TV show. Several EU characters are on it – including the top two. Who do you want to see make an appearance?
The Young Boba Fett Chronicles?
According to IGN, Rick McCallum claims that Boba Fett is “instrumental” to the live-action TV series in the new Insider. Naturally.

Lucasfilm and the strike
TFN contacted Lucasfilm to ask how the writer’s strike will affect them, and got the following statement:
“Lucasfilm has many projects in various stages of production. We do not at this point know what impact, if any, the strike will have.”
Well, it’s not like we have solid dates on any of the TV stuff to begin with… And I doubt we’d see much of anything substantial before Indy IV and TFU.
TV updates from Monsieur McCallum
TFN has transcribed comments (reported in French) made by Rick McCallum at France’s Reunion 2 convention regarding the two TV shows and saga box set.
I wonder if we can expect any official reports on this…

Live-action TV show ‘news’
The L.A. Times interviews George, but it’s nothing we haven’t heard before:
The Skywalkers aren’t in it, and it’s about minor characters,” Lucas said in an interview. “It has nothing to do with Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader or any of those people. It’s completely different. But it’s a good idea, and it’s going to be a lot of fun to do.”
Lucas joked that the series would be about “the life of robots” but wouldn’t let any details slip about the true premise. The “extended universe” of “Star Wars” has come to life already in Lucas-sanctioned novels, comics and games that chronicle the history of the Jedi and tell the tales of bit players in the films, such as the bounty hunters from “The Empire Strikes Back.”
There’s that damn ‘extended universe’ thing again. Grr.
Things finally moving?
Is it true? Are things finally moving officially on the live action show?
According to Entertainment Weekly, Uncle George is taking a trip into Hollywood next week to make the final selections on writers.
They’ll then get to go to Skywalker Ranch for a week to plot their course before dispersing for the actual writing. I wonder if they’ll get to stay at the guest houses?
Could it be?
AICN claims to have some information about the live-action TV show. Believe it at your own risk.
And I’m sorry to burst out into a fangirl moment, but it’s been a rough week: For the last freaking time, it has never been the “Extended Universe.”
