It’s strange to think that one of the world’s most iconic and badass movie villains would ultimately be revealed as a major geek during his childhood years. Little Anakin Skywalker was an engineering prodigy, capable of building or repairing anything tech-related, including his own podracer and even C-3PO (albeit naked).

Who forgot the evil overlords?
Entertainment Weekly posted 20 villains they missed last time – prompted by reader letters – and this time the Galaxy Far Far Away’s most unapologetic baddie, Palpatine, gets his day in the sun.
Also making a belated showing: Christopher Lee as Saruman, Office Space’s Bill Lumbergh and, of course, Voldemort.

Entertainment Weekly continues their lineup with part two of the 50 most vile movie villains and the genre baddies really pile up this time: Doc Ock, HAL, Ming the Merciless, Gollum, T-1000 and the Wicked Witch of the West join Vader and Khan.

Darth Vader among EW’s choice baddies
Naturally Darth Vader is the poster boy for Entertainment Weekly’s 50 most vile movie villains. The lineup continues with part 2 tomorrow, and then there will be a vote.
Other genre baddies making the cut (so far) are Khan Noonien Singh and Captain Vidal of Pan’s Labyrinth.
