I’m always a week behind on the RPG releases, so gamers ought to have no trouble finding Wizard’s Jedi Academy Training Manual this week. No idea if there’s anything of use to non-gamers in there, but the cover is nice.
Everything comics at StarWars.com today. Firstly, the Invasion preview is up and running. Secondly, the August 2009 comic solicitations, including Invasion #2 (of 5?!?) The Clone Wars #8, Dark Times #16, Knights of the Old Republic #44, and Legacy #39.
I just got back from the comic store and just realized that I forgot to pick up Star Wars Adventures. Curses! I guess that’s half the excuse I need to go back for Free Comic Book Day.
And don’t forget that this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, and you’ll be able to pick up a Clone Wars story, among others. Also, Henry Gilroy, John Jackson Miller, Ramón Pérez, and Matt and Shawn Fillbach are among the Dark Horse folks doing signings.
We haven’t seen any comic previews for a bit – and trust, I’ve been looking! – but today Dark Horse put up three of them: Legacy #35, Dark Times #13, and The Clone Wars #5, all supposedly due this month. Props to EUC for spotting them first.
As for comics, Wednesday brings Legacy #34, and I’ve also been seeing the latest Insider in stores. And TFN is reporting that UK fans have spotted the first Star Wars Adventures digest, but I don’t think we’ll be seeing them in the states just yet.
We finally have releases this week! Tomorrow, keep an eye out for WOTC’s Legacy Era Campaign Guide. (Does this contain info from the entire Legacy era or just the comic? FYI, the buzz for this has not been very good.) On WednesdayKnights of the Old Republic #39.
And next week, we finally get that damn Outcast book.
When word reaches Moff Nyna Calixte that Imperial convoys are being attacked by Black Sun Pirates, she sends her daughter, “Gunner” Yage, and Gunner’s squadron of crack fighter pilots to intervene. But what neither of them knows is that the pirates themselves are under attack by other pirates — Cade Skywalker and the crew of the Mynock.
Despite his victory over Emperor Darth Krayt, Cade is still the galaxy’s most-wanted criminal, and Gunner’s squad is itching for another shot at him! Longtime readers: You can see what’s coming, right?
That’s Legacy #37, which kicks off the ‘Tatooine’ storyline. Also solicited are Knights of the Old Republic #42, (featuring The Rocketeer?) Dark Times #15 and new Omnibus, Menace Revealed, featuring a hodgepodge of stuff set between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.
