Star Wars with occasional sarcasm
They had a little help from some friends, but we are thrilled for the Club Jaders who helped create and present ‘Bring it On: Rock the Mouse;’ winner of Best Presentation at Comic-Con Masquerade 2009.
Congratulations to Caitlin Shindler (choreographer and costumer extraordinaire). Other Club Jade participants included Rogue Shindler, Mike Chiesi and Stephanie Chiesi. Um. You rock?

I had no idea when SF Signal asked me to participate in their latest Mind Meld on tie-ins that they’d get so many actual writers who had written Star Wars (Sean Williams, William C. Dietz, Kevin J. Anderson, Kristine Kathryn Rusch and Walter Jon Williams.) Plus many other names familiar to genre readers and the blogosphere. And me. It’s a little unsettling. Really cool, but unsettling.
‘Precipice,’ the second brand new Hyperspace short story, is up on StarWars.com – and it’s by our own Chris Cassidy! She tells me that it takes place while Obi-Wan is held prisoner on Geonosis during Attack of the Clones.
So, um, I have no idea how to link this with anything remotely resembling grace, so let me just say that I did a webmaster interview with Lightsabre, and they posted it today.
That was my thought as I was browsing over to Lightsabre this evening… They’ve interviewed our own Chris Gereke.
Our good friends over at Star Wars Blog have captured some great pictures of Club Jade’s very own Rogue and Caitlin in their Star Wars costumes from Comic-Con.
Their entry in the Masquerade featured a send-up of DreamGirls called Rebel Dreams that won Lucasfilm’s Industry Award.

Coming at you from the fifth floor of the Westin Bonaventure in Los Angeles… Jaders. There are currently ten of us, four laptops, and our first internet access in days. It has been, full stop, In. Sane. We’re all crazy busy and there’s so much to do!
