Indiana Jones in the new Entertainment Weekly
Entertainment Weekly is coming out with its Summer Movie Preview this week, and it’s not too big of a surprise that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull made the cover. And they also sat down with George Lucas and Steven Spielberg to talk about Indy, Cate Blanchett’s overwhelming awesomeness, filmmaking, and all the other stuff you expect them to address, like Will Ferrell and Steve Carrell.
And thankfully, after an interview or two full of doom and gloom, George has found his sense of humor again. Phew.

In the news: George, Harrison, Jeremy
There are scans of a Total Film interview with George Lucas over at MillenniumFalcon.com. They hit all the standards, including Indy IV, The Clone Wars and the live action series. At one point, George says “People live in the Empire, but you don’t see Stormtroopers.” A departure indeed… There’s also an interesting bit about the EU, George’s “three pillars of Star Wars.” Nothing terribly surprising, but we’re still at the point where any crumb is thrilling.

Not facilitating change
Unlike what I feared (was I the only one?), Simon Pegg claims he is staying true to James Doohan‘s version of Scotty for the upcoming JJ Abrams Trek film.
They finished filming next week, with Pegg signed on for possibly three more films.
We’ll see….
