SDCC: The final roundup

I did not regret not going to Comic-Con until I heard this: They showed a Futurama trailer. Why is it not online? This is so unfair.

They’re making a Y: The Last Man movie? I gotta dig out those TPBs…
Hillary Swank makes Iron Man cameo. Also confirmed: the Samuel L. Jackson/Nick Fury cameo.
Is Rome’s Ray Stevenson the new Punisher? Much better choice than the last guy.
Maggie Gyllenhaal aims to take The Dark Knight’s Rachel Dawes up a notch.
Todd McFarlane wants to reboot Spawn on film. Dude, the 90’s are over. Accept it.

The Darjeeling Limited. Wes Anderson film starring his regulars, as well as Adrien Brody and Natalie Portman. (She’s not in the trailer, though.)

My manwich!

Matt Groening and folks are in talks to bring the Futurama back from the dead. Long overdue, folks – long overdue. If syndication and endless nights of Adult Swim have taught me nothing else, it’s that the already-resurrected Family Guy just doesn’t hold up for multiple viewing, while Futurama just gets better and better. Plus, their Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory riff was actually funny.
