A fantastic Serenity poster set available from Forbidden Planet. Anyone know where to get one in the States?

I can’t keep up with all this Indy news, and no Jaders are volunteering. You should try the Unofficial Indiana Jones Movie Blog.

Serenity Overtakes Star Wars
Say it ain’t so, Threepio!
A recent survey by SFX Magazine ranked Serenity above Star Wars as Best Sci-Fi Movie.
Now, there are more than a few of us diehard Browncoats around here, but it’s still cause for a little sniff when Star Wars gets dethroned. (Although being the runner up, Star Wars could still take over the crown if Serenity is unable to fulfill her duties.)
Games. Why did it have to be games?
Gear up for the Firefly MMORPG. Better than nothing. I guess.

A group of Firefly/Serenity fans have made Done the Impossible, a film documenting their passion and fandom. It can be purchased from their website, or downloaded for free with a torrent client.
We’re thieves and it’s the future
Hilarious MST3King of Serenity. Now I miss two dead shows. Damn.
ROTS gets two Saturn Awards
Revenge of the Sith did well at the Saturn Awards – Best Science Fiction Film and Best Music. Battlefront II won the Best Science Fiction Video Game Release.
Batman Begins won Best Fantasy Film, and Lost and Battlestar Galactica both won for Best TV series in their respective catagories. Christian Bale, Matthew Fox, James Callis, Katee Sackhoff and Serenity’s Summer Glau all took home actor awards.
Joss Whedon rocks the snark
His response to the latest Firefly/Serenity rumor is way better than the actual rumor.
Oh, and there’s some stuff about Wonder Woman, too.
A Club Jade Poll
I polled a number of CJers on the releases of 2005 and here are the results:
Best Movie
Revenge of the Sith came out on top with 45.5% of the vote. Serenity made a strong show for second place with 40.9%, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was third with 27.3%.
Best Fan Parody
No surprise here: it was the Star Wars Trilogy: Musical Edition that captured the majority vote with 61.9%. In second place, the comic I <3th Darth.
Best Star Wars Fiction
Matt Stover’s Revenge of the Sith novelization was the clear winner with 81.0%.
Best SW nonfiction/reference
With 66.7%, Dressing a Galaxy was our favorite non-fiction publication.
Best genre TV
I admit I slipped up here, forgetting to include at least two shows (Stargate and Stargate:Atlantis) so the majority vote was a tie between Battlestar Galactica and ‘Other’. D’oh.
This completely unscientific poll is still open for members.
