Two new comics and a reprint are coming to your favorite comic venue on Wednesday. Doctor Aphra #8 takes out ‘The Screaming Citadel’ crossover storyline, while Poe Dameron #16 looks deeper into the new villian. The reprint is a weird one: Called Droids Unplugged #1, it reprints shorter material from Poe Dameron #1, Star Wars #25 and Darth Maul #1. Marvel being Marvel, there’s an alternate cover version as well.
Coming to the comic shops this Wednesday is Doctor Aphra #7, which is also part 3 of The Screaming Citadel crossover. (Thus, Han.) Also arriving are second printings of Darth Maul #1 and #2.
On Wednesday, Marvel launches their second crossover event with The Screaming Citadel #1. The story will continue in Star Wars #31, Doctor Aphra #7, Star Wars #32 and Doctor Aphra #8.
May the 4th is rarely a big day for anything but goofiness, and we did get that in spades. Below, Kristen Bell (guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live) surprised Adam Scott with Mark Hamill.
→ In addition to giving a few quotes to Entertainment Weekly, The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson did share a quick video with another Star Wars luminary:
→ And no, we didn’t get a new Vanity Fair spread, as many of us were assuming. But do expect one later this month. Let’s just not pin it on any specific dates this time.
Coming on Wednesday is Doctor Aphra #5 and a new Legends collection. The Old Republic Volume 2 collects #19-37 of Dark Horse’s Knights of the Old Republic series, plus the series’ handbook.
This Wednesday, comic fans can pick up Doctor Aphra #3 as well as the fourth trade collection of Marvel’s current Star Wars series, Flight of the Harbinger, which collects issues #20-25.
This is our last book release of 2016. (Comic? Maybe. We’ll find out with the next shipping list.) The next book is Claudia Gray’s Bloodline in paperback on January 31 and Chuck Wendig’s Aftermath: Empire’s End – which we just got a blurb for – on February 21.
