TFN spotted some new promos for the new special! Lando, Vader and Fett under the cut. Continue reading “Video: More new Robot Chicken Star Wars clips”
Wacky merchandise of the day: Vader toaster
The Darth Vader toaster is surely the first wave of a new line of borderline-inappropriate kitchen accessories. Think I’ll hold out for the Mustafar-themed immersion fryer. (Via Gizmodo, where all the expected comments have already been made.)
The Darth also rises (with a little hot air)
The Darth Vader hot-air balloon is chilling on this side of the Atlantic for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, and io9 has a gallery of inflation pics.
James Earl Jones to be honored by SAG
The Screen Actors Guild will be giving the voice of Darth Vader a lifetime achievement award in January.
Threepio in drag and other Japanese horrors
I’m sorry, but I refuse to believe these “vintage Japanese karuta” cards are anything other than horrible (albeit Japanese) fan art. They’re just that bad. (via)
Adorable, dangerous: Star Wars My Little Ponies
Mari Kasurinen’s custom Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Stormtrooper Ponies are sweeping the internets! (via)
Fan art: Benjamin Carre’s Star Wars

Mr. and Mrs. Vader: The couple that Siths together
As photographed by Cayusa @ Flickr. He also spotted a Jedi Clampett and an unusual lightsaber duel. But my favorite has to be the Cookie Killer. Only at Dragon*Con, folks…
Adorn your estate with everyone’s favorite Sith
StarWarsShop has a limited edition Darth Vader bronze sculpted by Lawrence Noble on sale. For a mere $18,000, one of thirty 4-foot tall Vaders could be yours to love, cherish, and seize command of the neighbor’s lawn gnomes.
Star Wars Halloween costumes: Trick or treat?
Back-to-School season is winding down, which means that on the retail calendar it’s time for Halloween! So of course StarWarsShop is selling costumes, including licensed sets of Vader and Stormtrooper armor that will set you back a thousand bucks. But most of them – including Jedi/Sith gear, kids stuff, and Plo Koon – sell for a more reasonable $40-75.
I do find it a tad amusing that Slave Leia and Geonosis Padme come from a line called ‘Secret Wishes.’ Presumably the baby oil is not included. For women who want to go a little more covered up, there’s also Asajj Ventress, plus Ahsoka for the younglings.
