StarWars.com has the Dark Horse solicitations for September 2009, including Legacy #40, The Clone Wars #9, Knights of the Old Republic #45, Invasion #3 and two trade collections: Knights of the Old Republic volume 7 and The Clone Wars: Slaves of the Republic.
Comics: Invasion , Legacy previews
Dark Horse posted previews for Invasion #1 and Legacy #37 yesterday: We can expect another Invasion preview at StarWars.com tomorrow. All the better to hype folks up for the actual comic in July.
Invasion writer Tom Taylor also got some press as the ‘Where Science Meets Imagination’ exhibit and Fanboys hit Australia.
Upcoming works teased by Stradley, Miller
I don’t know if everyone out there in the fannish newsosphere missed this or if it’s just me, but Randy Stradley posted a From the Editor on how the Legacy creative team broke a rule with the upcoming ‘Tatooine’ storyline, and why he let them. Heartwarming stuff. (Or, since it’s Randy, maybe not.)
On the other end of the EU timeline, Karen Miller has finished up the fourth Clone Wars book and is taunting dropping hints to eager fans.
Out this week: WOTC, Legacy, TCW
I’m always a week behind on the RPG releases, so gamers ought to have no trouble finding Wizard’s Jedi Academy Training Manual this week. No idea if there’s anything of use to non-gamers in there, but the cover is nice.
As for Wednesday… Diamond hasn’t updated their shipping list yet, but Midtown Comics is listing Legacy #36, The Clone Wars: Wind Raiders Of Taloraan and the second Vector collection.
Out this week: Fanboys, No Prisoners, KOTOR
Fanboys is coming out on DVD tomorrow, and if you’re in Los Angeles you can head over to a release party then… Or one in San Diego tonight.
On the book front Tuesday is a big day for Traviss fans, as The Clone Wars: No Prisoners and the Order 66 paperback will both be in stores. And the comic fans can look forward to Knights of the Old Republic #41 on Wednesday.
Out this week: The Clone Wars
Only one comic on Diamond’s shipping list for Wednesday: The Clone Wars #6, conclusion of the ‘Slaves of the Republic storyline.
The Invasion is here (plus August comics!)
Everything comics at StarWars.com today. Firstly, the Invasion preview is up and running. Secondly, the August 2009 comic solicitations, including Invasion #2 (of 5?!?) The Clone Wars #8, Dark Times #16, Knights of the Old Republic #44, and Legacy #39.
The Invasion begins on Friday!
The first part of Invasion will be appearing on StarWars.com May 8. Are you ready for a return to the NJO?
New comic day brings comic previews
I just got back from the comic store and just realized that I forgot to pick up Star Wars Adventures. Curses! I guess that’s half the excuse I need to go back for Free Comic Book Day.
But my real point here is that Dark Horse has come through with three – count ’em – three previews: Legacy #36, Knights of the Old Republic #41, and The Clone Wars #6.
And for the Brits, here’s a peek at The Clone Wars UK Comic #5.7.
Out this week: Legacy, Adventures, KOTOR
Lots of booty for comic fans Wednesday with Legacy #35, Star Wars Adventures: Han Solo and the Hollow Moon of Khorya, and the sixth Knights of the Old Republic collection, Vindication.
And don’t forget that this Saturday is Free Comic Book Day, and you’ll be able to pick up a Clone Wars story, among others. Also, Henry Gilroy, John Jackson Miller, Ramón Pérez, and Matt and Shawn Fillbach are among the Dark Horse folks doing signings.
