Official Pix (aka the autograph folks) are looking for a metric ton (320!) of volunteers for Celebration IV. With those numbers, perhaps they’re also planning to storm the Bastille?
So how ’bout that Celebration IV?
First, there was yesterday’s announcement about Official Pix and the autograph hall. Today, Starwars.com members will find in their inbox the latest Homing Beacon, which confirms much that’s already been said and details what perks fan club members get – mainly first access to a variety of areas: store, exhibit hall, art show, fan fair hall, archives, and two ‘exclusive’ film tracks.
Film tracks, huh? The movies and Clone Wars cartoons like at C3, or perhaps something… different?
Get Legacy in hardcover
Star Wars Shop is offering an exclusive hardcover edition of Legacy: Broken, the first collected story arc of the way-way-way post-NJO comic. It ships in May – the paperback version is due in April.
We also get the news that Jan Duursema is scheduled to be at Celebration IV – I believe this makes her the first confirmed guest. (Although more are certainly on the way.)
McQuarrie art book coming soon
The Art of Ralph McQuarrie to debut at Celebration IV. It’s a limited edition of 2000 copies, available for preorder January 1st.
Meet interesting people and costume them
Fan groups, it’s time to start applying for space in the fan exhibit area at Celebration IV! And this is interesting:
In addition to applying for free exhibit space, fan groups and individuals can submit proposals for fan-sponsored events, entertainment, panels, or exhibits.
Hmm…
CIV registration open for business
It’s (almost) heeeerrreee
Celebration IV registration opens on October 30 at noon PST! A 4-day adult badge is $110.
Soon, my pretties…
Celebration IV registration is nigh! One enterprising poster on TFN found this.
Celebration now!
Well, I was wrong about them waiting for San Diego… Celebration IV announced! Almost exactly a year from now (May 24 to May 28) fans will start gathering in Los Angeles to celebrate the 30th anniversery of Star Wars.
Woohoo! See you there!
C4 Confirmation
Rick McCallum confirms C4 at Star Wars Weekends. I’m assuming they’re going to announce it at San Deigo Comic Con. July can not come soon enough!
