Out this week: Blueprints, trivia, Dark Times

First, a couple of things in stores now: The Star Wars Ultimate Blueprints Collections (DK says it came out yesterday, but I saw it at Borders on Saturday) and Obsessed with Star Wars, a trivia book by our pal Ben Harper. Several CJers have already picked it up and been stumped, so be ready for a challenge.

Also be on the lookout for the second Dark Times trade collection and Star Wars Insider #103.

Expanded Universe newsbits for Wednesday

IGN has a refresher on the characters of The Clone Wars. Nothing the obsessives don’t already know.
Mike Stackpole honored with asteroid namesake.
Chris Trevas confirms to EU Cantina that Chris Reiff is indeed a second artist on the blueprint collection, not just a figment of Amazon’s imagination.

Listings appear for Ultimate Blueprints Collection

As noted on TFN, listing have begun to appear for the Ultimate Blueprints Collection on DK.com and Amazon. The Amazon UK listing lists Ryder Windham as author with Chris Trevas (who’s mentioned in the starwars.com item) and Chris Reiff as illustrator. Both Amazons list August release dates.

Surprise! Another new book!

Don’t get too excited, it’s not a novel, but it is something a little unexpected: Star Wars Blueprints: The Ultimate Collection from DK Books. I can’t recall ever seeing Star Wars blueprints published before (at least not in bulk) but I’m not totally shocked to see something like this.
