SyFy Portal reports that it’s likely that Battlestar Galactica will get a fourth season order from the SciFi Channel, possibly before the show returns on January 21. However, the fate of spin-off series Caprica is less clear.
There are also rumors of a direct-to-DVD movie release.
TV Guide and Landmark Theatre are hosting free screenings of Battlestar Galactica’s mid-season finale, The Eye of Jupiter, on the big screen in six U.S. cities. The episode won’t air on TV until December 15th. Warning, the links contain some spoilers. (via SF Signal)

First draft scripts for Caprica have shown up at Sci-Fi’s offices. The show, a spin-off/prequel to Battlestar Galactica, has been described as a “family drama and a political drama about corporations and politics” surrounding the creation of the Cylons.
