Star Wars with occasional sarcasm

RebelScum reports that among their rebooted Evolution will be three sets that contain EU figures – Evolution of the Jedi will have a NJO Luke Skywalker, Evolution of the Sith (#2?) contains Darths Bane and Nihilus, and Evolution of the Fetts will have a Mandalore figure. (Looks like KOTOR era, but I could be wrong.)

Also spotted at Hasbro: Yoda & Kybuck, shirtless Anakin from the (first) Clone Wars cartoons; Darth Revan and Darth Malak from the KOTOR games and pre-cyborg Grievous and a McQuarrie concept Chewbacca.

According to the TOSblog, the August issue of Wired, devoted to how-tos, has several Star Wars features. There are instructions for adding lightsabers to videos all over the internet, but action figure arranging from Robot Chicken’s head writers might be unique. (It’s the first thing that comes up in Google, anyway.)
Is your dad a Star Wars fan? Nothing says ‘Father’s Day’ like Star Wars! One question – is there a Leia version, with the torture droid? How about Luke and Palpatine, for grandpa? Obi-Wan and Anakin for brothers? The possibilities are endless!
ETA: On the TOS.
Action figures based on the original McQuarrie concept art of Metropolis-inspired Threepio and Artoo! Now that’s almost worth waiting in line for.
In other CIV news, Master Replicas will be hosting tree competitive ‘Combat Trials’.
Me or Jack? Lost: The Final Episode from the Consumer Electronics Show. You’ll LOL. Promise. Also: Lost Rhapsody 2: Electric Boogaloo.
The Supernatural Menace. The kids (or is it the slashers?) love Supernatural. So naturally there’s a crossover. Amusing, even to someone who still thinks of the one-who-is-not-Dean as Dean.
Sneak peek at the Ryan vs. Dorkman sequel, complete with talking heads. Oh, fanboys!
I may have blogged a few of Evan Mather’s Kenner vids before, but here’s few more – Quentin Tarantino’s Star Wars, Godzilla Versus Disco Lando, Kung Fu Kenobi’s Big Adventure, Les Pantless Menace.
IT CAME FROM JAPAN!
TFN reports that Lucasfilm is auctioning off two 501st Stormtrooper figures for the AIDS Emergency Fund. The figure was originally a Comic Con exclusive, but a version with the Star Wars Spectacular seal and George Lucas trading card was given to Parade participants.
TFN reports that the winner of Hasbro’s Star Wars Mini Movie competition is up on Youtube.
