Rise of Skywalker final run time revealed?

J.J. Abrams was busy today. After his visit to GMA, he appeared on SiriusXM’s EWLive, where he revealed that The Rise of Skywalker will clock in at “two hours and 21 minutes,” or 144 minutes, shorter than earlier reports. (Though that still may not account for the credits.) There’s a clip on the article, but the full interview will air on Thursday.

He also talked to Uproxx about bringing back Palpatine. And is Rey’s last name “Maclunkey”?

Focusing on new new characters, Empire dropped a new photo of Keri Russell’s Zori Bliss and has a new quote on Naomi Ackie about Jannah, whose “story links her up with the characters in a really interesting way. She has her own backstory, which makes her very invested in the fight. She has this fierce warrior nature, but a soft centre. There’s a part of her that is seeking connection with people, trying to build a family.” Russell also speaks about the origins of Zorii.

Adam Driver is on the cover of the Star Wars issue of Rolling Stone – his interview hasn’t gone up online yet – while Keri Russell is the Town & Country cover story.
