TV Guide introduces us to one of the show’s main characters – Ezra, a teenage force-user. “To survive, instinctively every now and then when he’s in a jam he uses the Force,” exec producer Dave Filoni says. “He doesn’t call it that. He doesn’t know that’s what he’s doing. He thinks he’s got some abilities that are a little strange every now and then, but they help him out. It’s instinctive, it’s reactionary.”
Ezra, being voiced by Taylor Gray, will be mentored by Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Kanan. Looks like The Hollywood Reporter is hitting their marks!
The article also reveals that Disney XD will be premiering two new trailers for the show on Monday during Kickin’ It (6/5c) and Lab Rats (6:30/5:30c.) UPDATE: RebelForce Radio says the spots, “Spark” and “Ignite,” will be online Monday morning.

And thus it begins!
Will Ezra be a Marty Stu character? Why does he have to be a Force user? Will Kanan survive the first season?

Wait, is there really a TV show called “Kickin’ It”?

We’re old, Coop. We don’t need or want to know these things.
(No one tell Coop about ‘Dog with a Blog.’)

and every episode, they indeed do kick it. some times that’s all they do: apply foot to one object.

I’ve actually seen Kickin’ It, and it’s pretty stupid. At least Dog with a Blog is a documentary.

And again, the character looks like his voice actor. Cooncidence? Probably, but I still like the idea that they’ll do a spin-off movie for Rebels. :-)

Continuing the general Star Wars trend that non-Force users can only ever accomplish anything when helped by several Force-users…
I’m still looking forward to this show, but the last several announcements have been underwhelming. I’m still feeling burned by the founding of the Rebel Alliance in “The Force Unleashed.”

Ezra sounds like the perfect Han/Luke mix to me. When I read what they said, I thought “Ok Han Solo junior” but in the cuts we see, some of his poses are iconic Luke Skywalker – even his facial expressions remind of him. Now bad.
Not bad at all.
