Perhaps we slightly overestimated the whole Potterdämmerung thing. Live and learn! In any case, this is the last time I’m googling it.
All is well
- Deathly Hallows sets sales records. 8.3 million copies in 24 hours, and that’s just Scholastic. Globally, an estimated 20 million.
- Reviews: AP calls it a ‘fitting finale’; Entertainment Weekly, ‘stunningly beautiful;’ BBC, an ‘entirely fulfilling end.’
- Is Potter on track to being the biggest franchise of all time?
- Did Deathly Hallows harm Order of the Phoenix at the box office?
I was hoping someone would look at the box office as I was very curious.
From the conversations at the theater on Sunday (yes, I went back), the only people in there were those who had already finished the book.
I’m curious to see how it does next weekend. Will it have another surge?
And color this fan happy. I also enjoyed the book.
I’d been curious about the box office draw too, especially since the original plan was to release the book and the movie on the same weekend.
And I loved the book. There are only a couple things that I wish had been added in the Epilogue. But other than that, I was pleased.
I think you meant Order of the Phoenix instead of Goblet of Fire, right?
Haha, yes. Stupid zillions of Potters. :D
