Fans have been frantically trying to figure out who the “previously unused character” character in his novel is, and Kemp throws them a bone on his LJ:
I am allowed to mention that my Star Wars novel will feature the Jedi Jaden Korr as one of the lead characters.
The speculation continues…
I foresee a new wave of Wookieepedia vandalism a la the Jedi Exile once Jaden’s species and (more controversially) gender are canonically specified.
“JADEN KORR IS A FEMALE RODIAN – GET OVER IT”
I’m going to miss this picture:

If this is revealed to be a Kyle Katarn book, much happy!flailing will commence.
I think Kyle has too much background for it. He might be in it (ugh,) but I doubt he’s the focus.
Stop canonizing our “Choose-your-own-gender” characters, dammit!
