Michael Fleming’s Star Wars ABC. Super cute, but I think that Ewok wants to eat my brain. Which is, I guess, sort of the idea. (via Drawn)
Licensing: Not just for the big guys
Star Wars isn’t the focus of this WSJ article, but it’s an interesting look at how things get done.

Bane sequel is a go for December
So sayth Sue Rostoni on the TOS:
Shelly called me late last week to propose an additional hardcover this fall. THIS fall. Yep. Del Rey figured the market could bear one more, and since the Darth Bane novel was a hit, a follow-up, written by Drew, seemed the best idea. So the untitled Feb. 09 hardcover (previously the “Plagueis” novel) has been moved up, and Drew agreed to continue Bane’s story. So we’re off and running.
The release date is slated for December 26th, 2007.
I’ll be updating our release schedule presently…
It’s a Zombie Chick Flick Movie!
After a slight delay to deal with real life, Star Wars author Aaron Allston has gotten some coverage for his upcoming film Deadbacks.
This piece is from an Austin public television show that does stories on local films. A little slow in parts, but a lot of fun to watch the behind-the-scenes stuff and Aaron walking around in a 501st shirt.
It feels a little like Ain’t It Cool to say that we’ve seen some stuff from this movie and it’s going to be a lot of fun! Stay tuned to Club Jade for more from this film as it readies.
Hand-optional father-son reunion!
Entertainment Weekly put The Empire Strikes back at #12 on their list of the 25 Greatest Action Films Ever. Raiders of the Lost Ark shows up at #3.
Indy marketing blitzkrieg expected
At least, according to MTV. Or… has it already started? Or maybe I just didn’t want to make two Indy posts today.
Cast…The Final Frontier
According to SciFi Wire, just to keep the Star Trek 11 film casting rumors rolling along, one of the movie’s writers has announced that they’re planning on announcing the cast at this year’s San Diego Comic Con.
The film is currently in pre-production and expected to go in front of the cameras in November.
I’m kinda bummed. There’s still plenty more actors in IMDB to float as possible cast members.
All others are two or lower
Top five dads in Sci-Fi. Bill Adama is there as well, so I will not demand a recount. (via SF Signal)
