Action Figure Insider founder Jason Geyer pens a sad tale of (mostly) rejected Star Wars merchandise concepts.

Writer’s strike could be over by Wednesday!
Reaction to the proposed deal looks “very positive,” Nikki Finke reports.
Even if a vote to end the strike is reached within the next few says, pilot season still may be threatened. But that may mean Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse may be among the shows to profit, or at least be given a better chance to thrive from FOX.

Mulder and Scully Together Again
Jessa discovered that David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will be making their first-ever joint convention appearance, along with director-writer-producer Chris Carter and writer-producer Frank Spotnitz to discuss the upcoming X-Files movie. This rare convergence will be taking place at WonderCon in San Francisco on Saturday, February 23.
Jessa also mentioned that she would be excited, except that there is no Skinner involved.
Stormtroopers get Samurai treatment
Anyone who was at Celebration IV no doubt remembers the impressive Samurai Vader that was displayed at the Star Wars Shop booth. Well, now artist Yoshi Isao has created another hybrid creation – the Samurai Stormtrooper.
It’s all pretty awesome, but is it wrong that I love the reinterpretation of the Imperial icon on little flags best?
