TFN is reporting that McDonalds will be having a “global Star Wars promotion” in the fall for The Clone Wars.
Would you give an Oscar to this?
If Diablo Cody Wrote Star Wars:
C-3PO: Thank the Maker, this oil bath is going to feel so good! I have such a bad case of dust contamination I can barely move.
Luke: Don’t mind me harshing your Calgon moment, Goldleaf. I’ll a little too busy hating the universe.
You are a sick little man, Pablo. Sick.

Eye candy: Any port in a storm for KOTOR fans
CVG is reporting that these mysterious images by artist James Zhang are concept art for KOTOR III. Can’t say I’m entirely convinced, but I’m always happy to see some pretty pictures.
Work for the fabulous Mary Franklin!
Lucasfilm needs a Fan Events Coordinator for Celebration Japan ‘and other potential events.’ Meet famous people! Go to Japan! Work for Mary! And get paid for it!
No event planning experience? Nonexistent language skills? Check out LFL’s other available positions. (You could be Pablo’s intern!)
Rumor: Indy IV going to Cannes?
The latest buzz seems to be that Spielberg’s people are negotiating to have Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull open the Cannes Film Festival. (You may recall that Revenge of the Sith opened the festival back in 2005.) Cannes starts on May 15th this year, and the film is set for a May 22nd release.
Another rumor: Reshoots!
In the News: TFU, People, Merchandise
San Francisco Chronicle on The Force Unleashed. They also feature Ray Harryhausen, who is awesome. (Star Wars content, not that you should care: Quotes from Dennis Muren, lots of ILM mentions.)
- People: MSNBC counts down Natalie Portman’s coolness, Seth Green talks about Robot Chicken: Star Wars.
- What? We hate Moby? Apparently he got a lot of flack from Star Wars fans while dating Natalie Portman. But he’s the only person I’ve ever seen on Cribs with actual books! (Okay, him and Hanson. I know, right?)
- Toy Fair leftovers: Variety looks at high-end toys.
Today in the Expanded Universe
- First look at Street of Shadows. Okay, so we already saw the cover art, but they’ve got the copy.
- Revelation came out today, and the official site has an excerpt.
- Speaking of flashbacks (if you’ve gotten far enough into the book, you’ll understand) CJ’s favorite undead Sith Lord Exar Kun is coming to Galaxies.

Mystery: ‘Untitled K. Traviss 1’
Eddie on the StarWars.com boards discovered a mystery Karen Traviss Star Wars book on that paragon of reliability, Amazon.com. Whatever could it be? Order 66 is out in August, and already has a page on Amazon… Is the mystery book not a novel at all? Or could it be one of Traviss’ original works, mislabeled? Or is Amazon just having delusions? We’ll just have to wait and see: If the book is really set for a summer release we ought to hear something official soon.
