The Colossus fixes their long-range scanners and answers a distress call in ‘The Engineer.’
Kaz and Neeku discover Nena, a Nikto engineer in need of assistance, who barely escaped a First Order attack.
More stills and a clip under the cut.

Meanwhile, Hayden Christensen was spotted at Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge. The official Disneyland Twitter tweeted the photos and then deleted the tweet, promoting even more speculation as to what secrets he’s keeping. However, note that @StarWars later tweeted the pics themselves.
There’s a lot to like in Rebecca Roanhorse’s Resistance Reborn, and I suspect that the other reviews will be quite effusive. If I can’t manage that, well, I can say that if you’re at all interested in how the Resistance begins to rebuild after The Last Jedi – or if you’re a longtime reader of the new canon fiction, this is a must-read.
Keeping things mostly spoiler-free under the cut.

The pair has backed out of their planned Star Wars films, per Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. And you know it’s for real, because here’s Kathleen Kennedy with the shade:
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy remarked, “David Benioff and Dan Weiss are incredible storytellers. We hope to include them in the journey forward when they are able to step away from their busy schedule to focus on Star Wars.”
Yeah, I’m guessing they have about as much of a chance as coming back as anyone in Westeros has to sit on on the Iron Throne. Have fun at Netflix, guys!
After a bonkers thread from an appearance this weekend had the internet questioning how those two even managed to get Game of Thrones to fly as high as it did, all I feel is relief.
As for the 2022 film that was supposed to be theirs, well, Lucasfilm still has both Kevin Feige and Rian Johnson in the wings – and they’re just the folks we know of. I’m sure they’ll be fine.
Here’s the latest trailer for The Mandalorian, with some repeats but plenty of new footage, and quite a bit of Werner Herzog. And yes, we finally get to hear Pedro Pascal talk… briefly.
Plenty of questions raised: Will the helmet come off? Are some of those scenes flashbacks? What happened to the Mandalorians?
It’s “blitz day” and that means we’ve got a bunch of new posters for The Mandalorian, as well as a new trailer dropping sometime tonight.
Buried in a fairly routine New York Times story on Disney+ marketing is a line that says the first episode will contain “a dramatic ‘Star Wars’-universe spoiler.” Speculate as you will, but chances are we won’t know until November 12, as the show isn’t even screening for critics.
One of Resistance Reborn‘s biggest “secrets” is out of the bag – Wedge Antilles (and someone else canon fiction readers will recognize) will be back in the novel. StarWars.com has an excerpt, and the final cover, which you can also see below.
Resistance Reborn, by Rebecca Roanhorse, arrives November 5.

Marvel’s entry in the Journey to the Rise of Skywalker wraps up in Allegiance #4 (preview), while IDW’s begins in Star Wars Adventures #27 (preview). Also wrapping up is Return to Vader’s Castle #5 (preview), and there’s a standalone tale in Doctor Aphra Annual #3 (preview).
Doctor Aphra‘s ongoing is ending this year as Marvel reboots their Star Wars line, but just like the flagship title, she’s getting a new start in the new year. A new Doctor Aphra #1 is due out in April, Marvel announced in London this week. It will be written by Alyssa Wong, with interior art by Marika Cresta, and covers from Valentina Remenar. Is this Marvel’s first all-woman creative team for Star Wars? Seems likely!
