And speaking of Stargate alum, Amanda Tapping has now been sufficiently harassed by her Stargate and Sanctuary families to get on Twitter.

My first inkling of this was a tweet from Lucasfilm’s Leland Chee (@HolocronKeeper,) who also confirmed that a (licensed) lightsaber Wii remote will soon be available. Okay, so the Wii thing is old news, but my memory isn’t what it used to be… At least not for game peripherals.
Any excuse for a gallery, and this time io9’s is concept art that reimagines the greatest space epics. The Star Wars offerings are the best of the bunch, naturally.
The Doctor gets spiffed up for new season. As if Flopsy McEmohair wasn’t enough of a change, the BBC has unveiled a new logo/branding for Doctor Who. It’s a tad sophomore-year design project, but I kinda dig it.
Second verse, same as the first. Dollhouse is in trouble! How novel! The campaign is thataway.
Ride into Westeros. Horse-riding extras are needed in Northern Ireland for HBO’s A Game of Thrones later this month.
Stargate Universe had a lot of folks intrigued, apparently. They beat Dollhouse (poor Dollhouse) with 2.3 million viewers in the US. In Canada, they set a record for the highest episode ever on Space. And its UK premiere last night was the highest rated show in its timeslot for the night.
Now they just have to keep this going. (I was pleased, but reactions around the web do include a fair percentage of folks who weren’t.)
Yesterday was SyFy Press Day in Vancouver. Expect all sorts of articles to be cropping up in the next few days and weeks about Stargate and the other SyFy shows (Sanctuary, Caprica).
StarWars.com has the January comic solicitations: The Clone Wars #12, Knights of the Old Republic #49 and it looks like Legacy #44 will be channeling the spirit of Swamp Thing. And for the trades, Legacy’s just-finished ‘Tatooine’ arc.
Welcome back to another exciting season of The Cad Bane Show!
