Digital Spy is reporting that Uncle George wants to ban the Star Wars Holiday Special.
No Princess Leia singing? No Maude? No Luke with the Hayley Mills hairdo?
There goes Christmas!

Jason Isaacs, the man who so delightfully played the villainous Lucious Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, appears all set to film a small bit in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Mr. Isaac’s admirers will take any small appearance of his that they can!
Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron for pointing this out.
See a two minute preview of the extended edition of Return of the King at Crave. A 6-minute trailer will be released on the 29th, but why wait?
Continuing Ewan McGregor’s foray into the world of animated adventures, the trailer for Valiant has just been released.
In Valiant, Ewan plays the lead role as a currier pigeon who saves the day in World War II with his need for speed.
Probably not much of a stretch for Ewan, considering his latest documentary Long Way Round.
Apparently, Hayden Christensen has the power to inspire mad crushes on the part of Japanese reporters. Note this rather love-struck article written during his promotion of Shattered Glass.
In other Star Wars news, Yoda talks to Costco. Interesting place to do your first media interview.
You can also have the rather interesting honor of owning a staple autographed by Samuel L. Jackson or Jimmy Smits.
And finally, an interview with Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker done before a Boston convention in which Tony actually seems pleased with Episode 3. (No spoilers, though.)
Han/Luke is the third Star Wars ‘ship to make Livejournal’s Ship Manifesto. You’ll never watch A New Hope the same way again.
Starwars.com has posted a complete book release list for Return of the Sith. Both non-fiction (well, if you consider background info on fiction non-fiction) and novels are covered. If you can only get one thing on the list, though, I recommend The Art of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. My copies of TPM and AOTC editions have seen more action than the actual DVDs.
Per ComingSoon.net, Ewan McGregor’s animated adventure Robots will be released on IMAX screens the same day as it’s released in conventional theaters.
Apparently, Ewan joined his ROTS co-star Natalie Portman and his good friend Jude Law to see her new movie Closer and gave it two thumbs up.
And so as to avoid demonstrating our obvious bias towards Mr. McGregor, we also include this coverage of Natalie Portman:
Zap2It Interview
So much for those tentative plans to see Serenity with fannish buds at Celebration 3… Universal Pictures has moved the release date from April 22nd to September 30th, and Joss Whedon himself posted at fan site Whedonesque with the news.
The delay hasn’t been received very well by the fandom, but I can’t help but think this is a good thing. It avoids the chances of Serenity getting creamed by Episode 3. Secondly, after ROTS is out we’ll need some comfort food. Not because the movie will rock or suck or who-knows-what else, but because it’s the last SW movie ever.
And you know what? We’re still getting a Firefly movie. And that’s the most important reason of all.
The BBC reports that the British government has named JRR Tolkien’s house as a listed building.
This means that “protected status” will be awarded to the Oxford home where Tolkien wrote “The Hobbit” and much of “LOTRs.”
