Learn how Cade survived Ossus. But they’re still not using the real cover, oddly…
More on the Sculpting a Galaxy LE
With pictures of the packaging and such. Honestly, I’d just take the box…
Finding a formula
Dark Horse in the The New York Times. There’s a bit about their licensing program on the third page.
Video Monday
The Star Wars episode of That 70’s Show. Or skip straight to the spoof, if you have the urge to hear the term “Jedi dumbass.”
The unemployed Stormtrooper. Awww.
The PhanDom Menace, excerpt from a documentary about an Australian Star Wars fan club. Accents! Costumes! And Timothy Zahn’s in there, for some reason.
The Darklord of Stall One. Will people in Stormtrooper uniforms doing random stuff ever not be funny? Don’t tell me, I don’t want to know.
That is a freaking Stormtrooper!
From the Blogside
Brooklooineghost wrote an excellent essay on compassion; Drew Karpyshyn addresses continuty errors in Path of Destruction.; Rogueish on politics in the GFFA; Vader of Bast throws down a rant about the Legacy comics; Lord Noctifer rambles on Skywalker courage; Jan Lomona wonders why only Palpatine noticed Luke’s compassion.
Pirates 3 is last for Knightley
No more Pirates for Keira Knightley. But is anyone really expecting a fourth movie anyway? More importantly, the release date for At Worlds End is currently set as May 25th, 2007, which is right smack in the middle of Celebration IV. Will CJers have to pack their pirate finery as well?
I guess they really do fight Trekkies…
Fanboys, the trailer. Is that Andrew’s van?
Hollywood out of ideas, turns to puns
The rights to the first book of every 12-year-old’s favorite fantasy series, Piers Anthony’s Xanth, have been sold to Warner Brothers. Hollywood, are you really that hard up for a hit fantasy movie that you’re going to try for Xanth? I think I’d rather see Eragon, and I read approximately twenty of those books back in junior high.
The skinny on Star Wars Insider #92
Two week delay for the next Insider. Just as mine started coming in on time, too. But it looks like the issue contains some good stuff, including a peek at the The Making of Star Wars and an interview with Timothy Zahn about Allegiance.
Filk Friday
This week’s featured filk has been coined by some critics (namely, the author) as the “greatest filk ever.” While I am not prone to such hyperbole, this is admittedly one of the most entertaining filks I’ve ever seen performed. Written by PG, the filk Lady Mara Jade combines two Star Ladies favorites: Moulin Rouge and Luke/Mara. Enjoy!
