Tuesday sees the release of Paul S. Kemp’s The Old Republic: Deceived, which has been getting a fair amount of hype. (Say it with me: Gamers!)
But seriously, the early buzz has been good, so give it a try if you’re into the era.

Fatal Alliance was pretty decent for a video game tie-in, but I was pretty disappointed by Crosscurrent. I enjoy the era setting but not the writer. Hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised as opposed to expectedly (I don’t think that’s a real word but whatever) disappointed.
Received my copy on Friday last week here in England (the US edition, via Amazon UK).
Nice cover art on this, but more similar to a UK edition in terms of absence of embossed/shiny elements, or matte coatings.
Can’t wait to read it… but I’ll have to (*slight* fiction backlog – still have much of the Clone Wars to get through, and I’m talking pre-‘Clone Wars’ Clone Wars. Then there’s the X-Wing series…)
