Prepare to feel old: The Harry Potter series is turning 15 this year.

Yes, it’s been 15 years since the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Scholastic is re-releasing the entire series in trade paperback in September, complete with new covers by Kazu Kibuishi.

Check out the new cover for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone under the cut.

The American hardcovers and paperbacks will retain their original Mary GrandPré artwork.

  1. I remember the first time I saw the HP books. There were two or three of them. I was working at Media Play… In college…

    Ugh.

  2. ‘Sorcerers Stone’ *groan* hasn’t that been changed back to the proper title yet?
Nice covers, little odd but well deserving of new covers. How many is that now, seems to be a new cover each year!

  3. Mark, I was hoping they would change to the original title, too; at least for the special edition.

But y’know us Americans. We can’t understand nuthin’. :)
