StarWars.com has the cover for the eighth Fate of the Jedi book, Christie Golden’s Ascension. One question, though: What is Neville Longbottom doing there?

“What is Neville Longbottom doing there?”
:spittake: An interesting artistic interpretation of the Sword of Gryffindor.
Maybe it’s just me, but I still really like these covers. They’re solid looking and well designed without feeling over-designed.
I’m also glad to see that Ben still has Luke’s old ’70s hair thing going on.
Separated at birth, like Dooku and Saruman?
Someone shopped the clearance rack at Hot Topic!
Weren’t her facial markings tattoos? If that is Vestara, not Tahiri or someone else, then where did the tats go?
maybe she uses some cover-up when doing photoshoots?
@Nathan: I think the tats were supposed to be henna type things that she wore fore some formal rites. Permanent tattoos don’t seem to mesh with the Lost Tribe’s “physical beauty above all” philosophy.
Nathan: They were facepaint.
Looks like Shia Labeouf and Christina Applegate to me. Is that a shadow, or does Ben have facial hair?
Aw, man. Now I can’t unsee the Shia Lebeouf thing.
You know, that strange and unpleasant feeling I’ve been getting about the whole Ben & Vestara thing being something akin to a “copy” of Luke and Mara has now been reinforced in visual form. :/
I was thinking the same thing, Michelle. Definitely a nod to Luke and Mara.
And I was actually thinking Ben looked a lot like Justin Bieber.
This is a Star Wars Rorschach test!
Now that you mention it, I can’t stop thinking of the Survivor’s Quest Japanese cover.
