Domhnall Gleeson knows “everything” on Episode IX, and he’s terrified

They’re filming Episode IX, but Domhnall Gleeson and Oscar Isaac both have movies coming out (The Little Stranger and Operation Finale) and are making the press rounds. They can’t say much about IX, obviously, but there are a few things of note, plus a check-in with Keri Russell and Dominic Monaghan.

Gleeson made his third visit to the Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he told host Josh Horowitz that he’s read the entire script for Episode IX – “I know everything” – and he regrets it. “The nightmare is falling asleep on public transport. I think I said it to you before. The nightmare is you wake up on a plane and someone’s dictating,” he said. “You wake up and your mouth is shaping words, you wake up and you’re like, ‘Skywalker-‘ And then you realize you don’t know how long you’ve been speaking, and there’s like a kid filming, there’s somebody writing down.” In another interview, with GQ, he talked about saying goodbye to the franchise.

Isaac told Yahoo that he loves that fans court-marshalled Poe Dameron for his actions in The Last Jedi. He also talked about Episode IX and the polarizing reaction to The Last Jedi with the Los Angeles Times. And in USA Today, he talked a bit about Carrie Fisher, working with J.J. Abrams again, and says the Resistance are “guerrilla fighters” in IX.

Keri Russell, mostly talking about The Americans, addressed reuniting with J.J. Abrams with Deadline. “When J.J. calls so unexpectedly, cool things happen,” she said.
