Lucasfilm bankrolling Robot Chicken special? Source is Dino Stamatopoulos, whose Moral Orel shares a production facilty (but, I assume, not a nondisclosure agreement) with the Chicken folks.
Anyone still watching Lost?
I gave up when I realized I had four unwatched episodes (in a row) on my DVR late last season. That’s what you get for going up against Veronica Mars, ABC.
Anyway, Entertainment Weekly is comparing John Locke to Luke Skywalker. (Yes, spoilers if you haven’t been watching.) Also mythchecked is Simba from the The Lion King, which is giving me images of James Earl Jones pontificating from a cloud above the island.

Stargate SG-1 goes direct-to-DVD
MGM has greenlighted two Stargate SG-1 DVD movies to continue after the series ends. Both are expected in fall 2007.

This may be one of those things that everyone but me knows, but I had no clue that the Presidio, in the Star Trek universe, is the home of Starfleet Academy. There’s also a Skywalker Division that builds ships for Starfleet.

The S3 premiere of Battlestar Galactica didn’t get as many viewers as the S2 premiere, but that’s not stopping NBC (which owns the Sci-Fi Channel) from trying the reinvention formula again – BSG executive producer David Eick is going to head a new look at The Bionic Woman.
Enterprise prop makes for big bucks
A model of the Enterprise-D sold at auction for $576,000 today at Christie’s. The model was built by ILM (!) and used in The Next Generation series and the film Generations.
