I’ve heard that you can find screencaps of some of the deleted scenes from Revenge of the Sith. But you totally didn’t hear it from me.
Saucing it up in a Galaxy Far, Far Away
The second part of Halagad’s hilarious “Star Wars Blogs of Sin” series is up on the official site. First he tackled cursing, now he’s taking on alcoholic beverages.
Go check out the list and see what you can add. We certainly have enough veterans of Jessa’s Bar to make a contribution!
Star Wars theme is tops
The American Film Institute has named the score for A New Hope as the greatest film score of all time. John Williams has three scores in the top 25, also including Jaws (#6) and E.T. (#14.) Rounding out the top five are the scores for Gone with the Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, Psycho, and The Godfather.
Fox limits ROTS distribution
Stores aren’t getting as many copies of Revenge of the Sith as they expect – Fox is limiting distribution to save on returns.
Rise, Lord Combover
I don’t know about you, but Star Wars isn’t going to make me watch The Apprentice. I already took one for the team this year. Screw Trump.
I’m more of a Martha fan anyway. That woman would make one hell of a Sith, and Trump is the Admiral Daala to her Palpatine.
And since yes, since there is TV that doesn’t involve ‘reality,’ there was quite a big chunk of ROTS reference – an entire conversation, even – on last night’s Gilmore Girls. I’m keeping my eyes out for a transcript, but for now let me just say it involved higher ground. And ranting. Lovely, lovely ranting.
Got tickets?
Make an X-Wing out of Paris Metro tickets. Instructions in French and English, with plenty of pictures. I bet you could make one out of cardstock if you haven’t been to Paris lately.
Monday SW updates are DVDlicious
Clone Wars Volume 2 won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program.
Dressing a Galaxy, an exhibit of costumes from all six films, opened today in Los Angeles. Probably too early to tell if the exhibit will tour.
Hyperspace members get a peek at the ROTS DVD. Meanwhile, the New York post managed to catch up with Lucas (Bugmenot for login) while he was in NYC for a fashion week preview of the costume exhibit, and got a few quotes about the DVD and the TV show. And finally, TFN reports that buying the DVD at Wal-mart will get you a bonus DVD.
This Week in SW
The preview for Star Wars Insider #84 is up, and it’s all about the clones… And coming up in the issue after that (#85) will be a Vader short story from Karen Traviss.
StarWarsShop.com has an exclusive Christmas Vader action figure that’s… um.. festive. Because nothing says ‘Happy Holidays’ like a blood-colored figure of everyone’s favorite Sith Lord…
And LFL is finally moving into the Presidio this week, so updates on starwars.com will be slim.
Obi-Wan’s cloak found in costume shop
Obi Wan’s cloak found in ‘fancy dress shop’, which is apprently British for costume shop. It was rented out as a monk’s robe and worn by an extra in The Mummy.
No word on how they know it’s authentic…
Taps for Admiral Ozzel

He also played Adolf Hitler in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and a U-Boat Captain in Raiders of the Lost Ark. His best-known role in the U.K. was as Mr. Bronson in the 80’s TV program Grange Hill.
