Star Wars with occasional sarcasm
We’ve featured some of Terese Nielsen’s box art for the Star Wars minis set, but the official site now has an interview and some new pieces (The Clone Wars, natch.)
There are newish Darth Malak and Young Obi-Wan paintings on her blog, as well as a gold leaf demonstration using her Padme CIV print. And check out even more of her Star Wars work at DeviantArt.

Gamasutra reports that LucasArts and Bioware are holding a media event at LucasArts’ San Francisco office on October 21st. They describe the invite:
The postcard, which proclaims “The wait is over” and promises “the official unveiling of the game that’s been rumored about for years,” makes no explicit reference to Star Wars. It is branded with the LucasArts and BioWare logos and depicts floating robots and hooded figures in futuristic interior locations reminiscent of the sci-fi franchise.
It certainly sounds (and looks!) like KOTOR, but I guess we’ll see… (via)
EUC points us towards an article from CVG saying that LucasArts and Bioware will unveil the long-rumored Knights of the Old Republic MMO with 30 days.
Well, I’m still not all that enthused (can you tell?) but clearly a lot of other people are, because The Force Unleashed has already sold more than 1.5 million copies.
On that note: Will ‘Force Unleashed’ be the next ‘Star Wars’ film? I bet Uwe Boll is available!
So outside of that whole duel mode thing, it seems that you can play as Mara Jade using the code MARAJADE. More cheats at IGN.

You know, in case anyone forgot. Anyway, StarWars.com has pictures from the launch party, featuring a surprise appearance by George Lucas. (Later, a report.)
Stuff is sure to blow up real good in Tuesday’s releases. First off is the much-hyped game that has been impossible to avoid lately, The Force Unleashed. You can even pick it up tonight if the mood strikes. For those who prefer their ass-kicking without the baggage of required hardware, tomorrow also sees the release of the fourth and final Republic Commando novel, Order 66.
Meanwhile, comic fans can expect Knights of the Old Republic #33 on Wednesday.
