Ewan McGregor gets back to sci-fi with Michael Bay’s The Island:

DreamWorks’ sci-fi project follows a “harvested being” who makes a bid to escape the utopian facility where he is being kept. The studio is eyeing a fall start. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (“The Legend of Zorro”) are on board to write the script, which originated as a spec by Caspian Tredwell-Owen.

Keira Knightley, Bounty Hunter!

Keira Knightley is set to star in Domino, scripted by Richard Kelly of Donnie Darko.

The summary, from Hollywood Reporter:

The real-life story centers on Domino Harvey, the daughter of actor Laurence Harvey, who starred in the original version of “The Manchurian Candidate.” Domino Harvey ditched a career as a Ford model to become a bounty hunter. The project has long been gestating at Scott Free, but it heated up when Scott took to Kelly’s script, which incorporates flashbacks, flash-forwards, and characters from “Beverly Hills, 90210.”

And so we have the first trailer. I am really loving the look of this. Actual focus on character. Wonderfully filmed. I think this will be a Batman I can get behind!
