Is Dooku: Jedi Lost coming out as a hardcover?

Star Wars Upcoming Book and Comics has spotted listings for a hardcover version of the audio drama on both Amazon UK and Amazon France. (via)

Cavan Scott’s Dooku: Jedi Lost is Del Rey’s first foray into original Star Wars audio drama. There has been some backlash from fans – both the hearing impaired and those who just plain aren’t into audio formats – so an alternate format is not out of the question.

These Amazon listings are curious, but they doesn’t make it for sure – Amazon has steered us wrong many times before! If a text version is coming, expect an official announcement from Del Rey first.

For those who are into audio, Dooku: Jedi Lost is available now.

Into the gap: Journey to the Rise of Skywalker books revealed

For May 4, StarWars.com has revealed the Journey to The Rise of Skywalker publishing slate. And this time, with a gap between films, we actually get several novels focusing on sequel trilogy characters.

From Del Rey, that means a new-to-Star Wars author, Rebecca Roanhorse, taking on Resistance Reborn, and Justina Ireland (Lando’s Luck) with the middle-grade Spark of the Resistance. Cavan Scott and Elsa Charretier also return with Choose Your Destiny: A Finn & Poe Adventure. From Marvel, there’s Allegiance, a miniseries involving Leia and the Mon Calamari. (Go into the galleries for more detail.)

It’s not in the gap, though: Kevin Shinick, another new-to-Star Wars author, has Force Collector, starring a “restless teenager” on Jakku prior to The Force Awakens.

Spark of the Resistance and A Finn & Poe Adventure are first out on October 4; The four-issue Allegiance begins October 9 and drops weekly through the 30th; Resistance Reborn is out November 12 and Force Collector on November 19.

For our nonfiction and reference offerings, we’ve got the same basic template we’ve seen since TFA. Phil Szostak’s The Art of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Pablo Hidalgo’s The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary are both due out the same day as the film: December 20.

A movie novelization isn’t expected until spring. There’s more of the usual kid stuff and sticker books at StarWars.com.

Star Wars out this week: Master & Apprentice, Making Solo

Welcome to the very belated release post for the week of Wednesday, April 17.

This week’s biggest release is Claudia Gray’s Master & Apprentice. Available in hardcover and eBook, it tells a Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi story from several years before The Phantom Menace, plus flashbacks to Qui-Gon’s time training with Dooku. Also out now is the first actual making-of book of the Disney era, Making Solo by ILM’s Rob Bredow.

It’s a big week for comics as well, with the release of TIE Fighter #1, the comic series that ties into the upcoming novel Alphabet Squadron. Also on comic shelves is the Age of Rebellion Special and Star Wars Adventures #20.

Our next release is the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, which drops on April 30, followed by Alphabet Squadron in June. More in our book release schedule.
