Out this week
On Tuesday head to the book store for the seventh book of the Legacy of the Force series, Fury by Aaron Allston. Also new to shelves is Ryder Windham’s Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force.
And for you Futurama fans, tomorrow also sees the release of Bender’s Big Score. Buy one for all your friends! (Star Wars connection: Among the obligatory references, Mark Hamill reportedly voices the ‘Chanukah Zombie.’)
Alas, there’s no such bounty for comic fans – Wednesday brings only Knights of the Old Republic #23.
Rumor mill: More EU figures?
Rebelscum spotted a supposed list of next year’s comic packs, which includes names sure to make many EU fans happy (Cade, Karrde, Thrawn.) And some that just make me want to facepalm (Xizor?) but we all have our demons.
Aaron in Texas Monthly
Texas Monthly magazine interviews Aaron Allston, who, you may recall, has a Star Wars book coming out on Tuesday…No doubt the locals can pick up the magazine (page 74, I’m told) but the online version is longer.
Interviews from across the globe
Polish fansite Starwarsy.pl has an interview with Steve Sansweet, andTurkish fansite YildizSavaslari.com talks to Shannon McRandle. (Beware of LOTF spoilers!)
Blast from the past
Out this week
The releases are pretty skimpy this week – a hardcover Crimson Empire reprint in comic shops on Wednesday.
However, next week sees two biggies – Aaron’s Fury and Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force, both of which seem to be getting very good buzz in the public court of fandom opinion.
It Came From The 70’s! (And the 80’s)
Delve into the four-color madness with Ten Awesome Marvel Comics Covers, from the version of the GFFA where all men are built like the love children of Prince Valiant and Fabio, rabbits are deadly and Boba Fett is not yet a cliche.
