Upcoming releases: Street dates!

The Random House site has added dates for the following releases:

As we learned last time, nothing is set in stone, but you’re probably safe penciling these dates in. Don’t forget, our Star Wars book release schedule is always available in the sidebar.

Possible Invinsible blurb spotted

TEASER: InvincibleIt’s getting to be that time again, when retail sites are dropping copy into upcoming novels… Highlight the text below to read Booksamillion’s blurb for Troy Denning’s Invincible, the ninth and final Legacy of the Force novel.

WARNING: Possible spoilers for Revelation, which comes out at the end of the month.

Convinced that Darth Caedus, the Sith Lord who began life as Jacen Solo, must be destroyed, Luke Skywalker worries his vision is tainted by his own desire for revenge. It now falls to Jaina Solo to fulfill her destiny and confront the horrific tyrant who was once her twin brother, in the stunning conclusion to the Legacy of the Force series.

Invincible is due out May 13th. (via)

The Clone Wars are coming!

Check out the packaging for The Clone Wars merchandise. Interesting, no? But the really interesting thing? All that stuff is going to start appearing on shelves July 26. Does that mean we’ll actually be seeing the series soon?

In other thrilling CW news, AICN has now hopped into the story, and they’re reporting that the theatrical release will involve four episodes and be sometime in the spring. The spring? I call shenanigans. Minicons take time!

Out this week

TEASER: Legacy #19Good news, comic fans – you’re getting a crack at Legacy #19, the final chapter of the ‘Claws of the Dragon’ storyline this Wednesday. And for an added bonus, Rebellion #11 is also on the shipping list.

There’s no sign of the eagerly-awaited Legacy: Shards trade. The trades have been coming out earlier than Dark Horse lists them, but it’s still probably too soon.

Clone Wars Huttling revealed, sort of

Jedi News has been hitting the UK Toy Fair, and among their finds is another new character from The Clone Wars:

The LEGO Rep let us into a few spoilers including the fact there will indeed be a feature release in early September here in the UK (a couple of weeks earlier in the US), and he also told us about the characters included with these sets – don’t read the next sentence if you don’t want to know! Rotta is Jabba the Hutt’s nephew or son (there seemed to be some confusion about this) and the first 2 or 3 episodes centre on his kidnapping!

Presumably, he’s not anyone’s secret apprentice. Phew.

Check out their pics of the LEGO Rotta and other Clone Wars characters.
